SCOTT BAIN
ABOUT SCOTT
Scott Bain spent 23 years as a firefighter, paramedic, and educator before walking away to ask a question that had been building for most of his life: why do so many people stay stuck at the edge of the life they actually want? His working theory: it’s not fear that stops people. It’s disorientation. They don’t know how to read where they are. That question — and that theory — became The Reinventionalist
A JOURNEY BORN OF HUMBLE BEGINNINGS AND ROOTED IN HUMILITY
1968 – The Bumpy Start
Scottish immigrant father. Young mother.
Father died. Business partner stole everything.
Welfare. The projects. Survival.
1975 – Adapt or Get Left Behind
Mom remarried. Air Force life.
New homes, new schools, new friends—again and again.
Constant change became the norm.
1982 – Stability (For Once)
Dayton, Ohio—eight years in one place.
Met my best friend—still one today.
Joined the Army National Guard. First real taste of freedom.
"The Reinventionalist isn't a concept Scott developed in a boardroom. It's what happened when he stopped waiting for someone else to name the terrain."
WHAT I'M BUILDING
The Angin Group is the holding company behind everything below — four ventures built around a single idea: that identity, place, and presence are worth taking seriously.
The Reinventionalist
A podcast, newsletter, and toolkit for people navigating identity transition. For those who’ve outgrown the map they were handed.
RE:CODE Basecamp
A series of small, immersive gatherings for people ready to do the actual work of reinvention. Not a retreat. A gathering.
Mandara Bali
Curated group travel and ground logistics in Bali. Not tours. Not transport. A relationship.
Human & Here
A clothing brand rooted in presence. For people who’d rather be somewhere real than perform somewhere digital.
